“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” —
William Shakespeare
There are many opportunities to share your talents and interests including:
Resident Care: no experience or medical background needed, bring a willing heart and all training will be provided! The resident caregiver volunteer does include helping to provide personal care, as well as medication administration.
We ensure that our volunteers are not only provided with training, but they also feel comfortable and confident in their role, allowing them to confidently provide
care and support for our residents, and their family and friends, during their
end-of-life journey.
Non Resident Care - Housekeeping, Community Outreach, Bereavement, Grounds/Maintenance, Gardening, Fund-raising, Office/Clerical.
For Resident Care Volunteers, the training will consist of two sessions, each 2 hours in length and a Physical Care Class. We ask that each Resident Care Volunteer sign up for at least 2 four hour shifts each month.
All other Non Resident Care Volunteers will have 1 two hour training session consisting of an overview of Hospice and Patrick Place.
Your desire to volunteer at Patrick Place is so appreciated; we would like to make it as easy as possible while staying within the requirements. We are required to complete a basic background check, We will not ask for your social security number.
